ACE CANNON
KWEM 1951-1955

Ace Cannon joined KWEM in 1951 at the age of 15. He performed live on the West Memphis station with the Snearly Ranch Boys, Reggie Young, and other budding stars. Cannon went on to become one of the all-time legends in country music as a saxophonist. He also performed alongside another KWEM star, Bill Black, in the Bill Black Combo. Cannon was inducted into both the Rock and Soul Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 2000. The Mississippi Musicians' Hall Of Fame recognized him in 2008.
